Elementary Dress Code

Elementary Dress Code

School uniforms must be purchased from Sir Walter Company.  Periodic uniform checks will be held in the classroom.  Those found to be out of dress code will be given a dress code violation.  Following is an overview of the Elementary dress standards:

Jumpers, skirts and culottes are expected to be moderate in length, touching at least the middle of the knee at all times.

 Girls

►Navy or plaid jumper, skirt or culottes (Navy blue Lycra or spandex "bicycle" type shorts may be worn under jumpers and  skirts for Elementary playtime, providing they are no longer than the top of the knee)

►White blouses with Peter Pan collars (blouses are to be tucked in at all times).

►Red or white polo pullovers; N3 & K4 may also wear pre-school t-shirts

►Chapel dress 3rd - 5th grades (Fridays)

  •  Navy skirts with white Peter Pan collar blouses
  • Navy or black dress shoes with red, white or navy socks/tights
  • Gym shoes are not to be worn on chapel days

►Shoes include: 

  • Dress shoes in navy or black, flats only, no platform shoes
  • Saddle Oxfords, Loafers, Boat/Docker type shoes in navy, black, or tan
  • White, navy or black sneakers - blue, black or white design - no high tops
  • No sandals or boots

►Red, white, navy socks/tights must be worn.  Nylon hosiery is not permitted.

►Jewelry may be worn in moderation.  One necklace, one bracelet/watch per arm, one ring per hand, and one pair of earrings.  Earrings should not exceed 1/2 inch drop below the lobe of the ear.  Makeup is not to be used or brought to school.  Very light pink colored nail polish only is permitted.  No false fingernails are to be worn.  Beads in the hair are to  be moderate and may not hang in the eyes.

 

Boys

►Navy pants - Belts MUST be worn.  Pants must be worn at the waist - no baggy pants.

►White shirts - short or long sleeve

►Red or white pullovers

►Shirts must be buttoned except for the top button and always tucked into pants. 

►Chapel dress 3rd - 5th grade (Fridays)

  • Navy pants with white oxford shirt, navy tie, and belt
  • Dark dress shoes and dark socks
  • Gym shoes are not to be worn on chapel days

 ►Shoes include:

  • Dress shoes in navy or black
  • White, navy or black gym shoes - blue, black, or white designs
  • Docker type shoes in navy, black, or tan
  • Shoes with laces must be properly laced and tied at all times
  • Socks must be worn at all times
  • No sandals or boots

►No jewelry is to be worn (necklaces, bracelets, earrings)

Outer Garments

Sweatshirts and sweaters worn over the uniform shirts my be navy,white, red, or gray in color with no designs or logos other than our Landmark logo.  Outer garments that are made of sweatshirt type material, whether they zip up or not, are considered sweatshirts and must conform to this policy.  Jackets and coats must be taken off and hung up on hooks or over the back of the chair.  Sweaters or sweatshirts may be worn over uniform shirts inside the classroom.  They may not be extra long or sloppy in appearance.  Long sleeved shirts may not be worn underneath the uniform shirts.  Hoods on all outer garments will ONLY be allowed to be worn to and from school.  They are not to be worn (on the head) during school hours.

Non-uniform shirts, flannel shirts, flannel jackets, or over sized coats are not permitted to be worn.

Hats, caps or other head coverings may be worn to and from school only.  They must be put away in the students' book bag or hung on the book bag rack per teacher's instructions.
